Today, I finished my last paper as an undergraduate student.
Today, I drove down to campus for the last time as an undergraduate student.
Today, I had my last official class as an undergraduate student.
I apparently did not realize this until tonight when I drove down to campus – saw a banner hanging from the parking garage that read “Congratulations Graduates!” and was nearly brought to tears. The realization that this was my last night of class as an undergraduate hit me hard and with all the subtlety* of a full speed train. I still feel like a confused freshman wanting to change my major every other week, and now, Saturday, I will have a diploma in my hand.
It doesn’t seem real. ..
*Is this how you spell subtlety – it doesn’t look right? See an English degree, and I still can’t spell with a darn.
